QuippeTWP assisted Medicomp Systems with the product launch of a web-enabled electronic medical records interface. The new product was one of the first to market that operated “in the cloud” on an iPad. The product was unique in it’s “intuitive, easy-to-use technology, all supported by the powerful MEDCIN Engine. The product worked on all major browsers giving clinicians access to patient information from virtually anywhere. Researching competitors and considering key product differentiators, TWP developed a name (Quippe, which means to concur or agree) and a brand identity that would both differentiate the product while clearly connecting back to the new Medicomp brand. Consideration was given to the fact that Quippe would be touch screen enabled and would need a memorable icon to stand alone and with the Quippe name. HIMSS, a large, well-attended Healthcare IT tradeshow, was used as the launch site and event of the new product. Events, advertising, public relations, exhibits, and on-floor demonstrations on iPads created both excitement and provided a hands-on product experience for a very targeted audience. Medicomp also gave away 100 iPads loaded with Quippe. “The coolest thing I have seen in a trade show setting,” said a well-known Healthcare IT blogger about the demonstrations.
